Bohemia Junction Limited is a UK based company with a team in Mumbai, India and is a meeting place for ‘creatives’ in music, film & the arts and those looking to expand their services and product into India and collaborate with Indian companies and individuals. We also help individuals and companies in film and music in India wishing to connect with those in the UK.
Our two key areas of business is the exclusive representation of London’s world famous Abbey Road Studios for India and the Sub Continent and in particular their award-winning mastering services and FAMES Project, Skopje, N. Macedonia and their FAMES Skopje studio Orchestra providing high quality, cost effective orchestral services. Both these world class companies provide the finest quality services for the vast Indian film and music industry.
We help our clients through the whole mastering process from choosing the right engineer to payment solutions and final master delivery. We also work extensively with a team of orchestrators, arrangers and copyists taking your basic song or film score sessions and preparing everything for the orchestral process.
We also offer live orchestral services and have provided an orchestra for the launch of Robo 2.0 in Dubai for AR Rahman. For this we took 75 musicians from the FAMES Skopje Studio Orchestra to Dubai for a live show conducted by Matt Dunkley.
We also brought the Grand Philharmonic Orchestra from London to Pune for a live concert for Marathi superstars Ajay Atul. The orchestra was conducted by Pablo Urbina as well as further performance with the Grand Philharmonic at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur and with AR Rahman in Mumbai, India.
We were also instrumental in the orchestration and score preparation for AR Rahman’s symphonic concert work ‘Flying Lotus – commissioned and performed by the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and conducted by maestro Ricardo Averbach.
We also started the first ever composer’s lab in India – The Mumbai Composers Lab formed in 2013. The composers Lab is presented with Abbey Road Studios in association with PRS for Music, UK and supported by BMI. We have also co-curated SongHubs Mumbai with Sounds Australia which was a collaborative song camp for Australian and Indian songwriters and producers and was an initiative run by The Australian Performing Rights Association and AMPCO.
We produced our first film in 2017 under the Bohemia Junction banner – Meneka Das’ award winning film ‘La Lune Folle’ which is available on Prime Video and through Shorts TV. We also produced ’We’ve Only Just Begun’ also for writer/director Meneka Das.
We have an indie record label imprint The Bohemia Junction Recording Co. distributed by The Orchard as well as The Bohemia Junction Publishing Company administered by Fairwood Music (UK).
